The True Heart of Florida

To some, the most important organ in a body is the brain. The brain controls all of your functions, thoughts, and actions taken. With thought, it is able to produce reason and allows us to communicate in an educated manner; essentially, the brain is central to all of our actions. However, with out the heart, none of that would be possible. The heart provides the blood through the various arteries to and from the brain. This gives life to what is considered the "most important" organ.

The same is true about Florida. From Tampa to Daytona and every county in between, we are the ones who give a voice to those representatives in our Congress, our nations central nervous system. When we are not respected , as is the current case, it becomes the duty of the residents to take action. Representative Putnam and Representative Bilirakis have continually defied the wishes of their constituents, and in doing so, have successfully endangered our state's well being.

It is a shame to continually see these men doing what they can to clog up Florida's main artery. They are not representatives of the people; instead, these two men are to the equivalent of built-up plaque on the walls of our veins, acting in the manner of trustees to a state that owes them nothing. Putnam and Bilirakis are in Washington D.C. along for the ride and scooping up every possible benefit along the way.

If they choose to vote against the wishes of our friends, our neighbors and our family, then we should choose to find some one else that will represent our wishes and wants. Here's to a change in '08!
